Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Monitor market trends and price fluctuations to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and logistics teams to forecast material needs and maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and sustainability practices in procurement processes.
  • Analyze procurement data and prepare reports for management, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Manage supplier performance and conduct regular assessments to drive continuous improvement.

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of procurement experience, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a proven track record of managing supplier relationships.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
