Description
The Construction Project Manager is responsible for the direction and financial outcome of construction projects from pre-construction through project closeout. Additional responsibilities of the Construction Project Manager include:
- Plan and schedule projects
- Negotiate and finalize subcontractor and material buyout
- Solicit subcontractors for projects
- Manage project costs; i.e., labor, material, equipment, etc.
- Close out projects
- Help create schedules and budgets
- Work with field staff to ensure proper project execution
- Communicate with external stakeholders on project timelines
The Successful Applicant
The successful Construction Project Manager applicant will have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience in a Project Management capacity for a general contracting company
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team setting
- Prior experience with simple estimates a plus
- Proficient in construction management software, i.e., Prolog, Procore or BlueBeam
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
