Description

The Construction Project Manager is responsible for the direction and financial outcome of construction projects from pre-construction through project closeout. Additional responsibilities of the Construction Project Manager include:

  • Plan and schedule projects
  • Negotiate and finalize subcontractor and material buyout
  • Solicit subcontractors for projects
  • Manage project costs; i.e., labor, material, equipment, etc.
  • Close out projects
  • Help create schedules and budgets
  • Work with field staff to ensure proper project execution
  • Communicate with external stakeholders on project timelines

The Successful Applicant

The successful Construction Project Manager applicant will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a Project Management capacity for a general contracting company
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team setting
  • Prior experience with simple estimates a plus
  • Proficient in construction management software, i.e., Prolog, Procore or BlueBeam
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
