Job Description

  • Oversee the estimation process for interior federal government construction projects.
  • Work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to develop precise cost estimates and proposals.
  • Examine project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to determine project requirements and scope.
  • Conduct site visits and assessments to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
  • Offer guidance and mentorship to junior estimators and team members.
  • Review and assess subcontractor bids and proposals.
  • Participate in project kick-off meetings and assist with project planning and scheduling.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulations related to federal government construction.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Over 10 years of experience in federal construction, with a strong focus on interior projects.
  • Demonstrated success in estimating and managing federal government contracts.
  • Experience mentoring and guiding junior team members.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal procurement processes and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Proficient in relevant estimating software and tools.
