About Our Client

Our Client is an expanding General Contractor with a massive portfolio in the Atlanta market with projects secured through 2027. They desire hard-working individuals who can be mentored and develop with executive level growth in mind. Experience with Tilt wall, Industrial and/or Commercial projects. This construction firm offers a wide range of construction planning and management services and are always committed to understanding their client's needs.

Job Description

  • Reviewing and verifying constructability of the plans and specifications.
  • Creating and enforcing a construction schedule that is tracked and updated daily with a constant monthly look ahead to ensure timely completion of the project.
  • Initial project estimates and bidding and qualifying subcontractors
  • Preparing scopes of work and recommending subcontractors to be selected for contracting on the construction of the project. Sending out invitations to bid and managing the bidding process.
  • Negotiating scopes of work and final contract amounts, preparing, estimating and verifying change order requests
  • Responding to RFI's or submittals and responding to subcontractor or consultants project related questions.
  • Directing and managing each of the Superintendents and Project Engineers to maintain the performance of subcontractors and consultants on-site.
  • Implementation of strict construction safety practices
  • Verify compliance with the plans and specifications, hosting weekly and monthly jobsite meetings as well as managing and conducting other duties necessary for the successful completion of the projects.
  • Review monthly subcontractor invoices
  • Attend monthly budget draw meetings, and cost to complete

The Successful Applicant

  • 5+ years of previous experience working with a General Contractor
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field a plus
  • Experience handling commercial projects, specifically tilt-wall construction projects
  • Strong software and technology skills is a plus
  • Able to communicate and be organized
  • Time Management Skills - making sure everything is on time and completed thoroughly
  • Experience with a team structure a plus
