Job Description

Senior Quality Engineer - Metal Manufacturing will:

  • Oversee and maintain document control systems (physical and digital) for DHRs, change notices, and QMS documentation
  • Train and mentor Quality Engineers in core quality processes including GD&T, inspection planning, Gage R&R, FMEA, control plans, and capability studies
  • Lead and document root cause investigations, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA/CAR/SCAR), ensuring compliance with ISO 13485 and 21 CFR 820
  • Manage customer complaints from intake through resolution, including escalation to CAPA when needed
  • Develop and revise inspection procedures and quality documentation in collaboration with Engineering and Document Control
  • Perform and support various inspection activities including first article, final, and in-process inspections
  • Review customer contracts, specifications, and quality agreements to ensure alignment with internal capabilities and standards
  • Lead cross-functional problem-solving activities and statistical analysis efforts
  • Conduct and lead Management Reviews in support of the QMS
  • Supervise and develop Quality Technicians and QC staff, including hiring, training, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions
  • Represent the company during internal/external audits and FDA or ISO inspections
  • Identify and propose quality system improvements, tooling/equipment needs, and support strategic planning with the Quality Manager and Engineering team
  • Be onsite at our Belmont, NH facility

The Successful Applicant

  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment as a quality engineer
  • Background in molding processes strongly preferred
  • Experience with medical device validation is highly desirable
  • Proficient in using CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines)
  • Familiarity with general metrology tools and techniques
  • Local to Belmont, NH
