Job Description

  • Lead quality initiatives across production and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement
  • Analyze quality data to implement corrective and preventive actions using structured problem-solving methods
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate quality requirements into daily operations and new product development
  • Support and train inspection teams while managing quality documentation, CAPAs, and customer interactions
  • Utilize QMS and SPC tools to monitor performance, ensure compliance, and resolve internal and external quality issues
  • Lead root cause investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., PDCA, DMAIC)
  • Develop and execute effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs)
  • Facilitate and lead problem-solving teams focused on high-priority quality issues
  • Travel up to 20% to support supplier and customer quality activities

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing or aerospace/defense environment - experience working with metals is highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, or other relevant quality standards
  • Proficiency with problem-solving methodologies such as PDCA, DMAIC, or 8D
  • Experience with FMEAs, Control Plans, Process Flows, and CAPAs
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality documentation
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) and SPC software
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally and with external stakeholders
