Our client is looking to add a Quality Engineer or Senior Quality Engineer to their Quality team, with the level of the role depending on the candidate's experience. The facility is currently ISO 9001 certified and is actively working toward achieving IATF 16949 certification. Strong knowledge of ISO standards is required, and experience with IATF 16949 and silicone materials would be a strong plus.

My client is a well-established and stable organization with operations across the country. This particular facility specializes in silicone-based products serving a range of industries, including aerospace, automotive, retail, and transit. With a team of approximately 130 employees on-site, the company is entering an exciting phase of growth, recently securing partnerships with major Fortune 500 companies such as Tesla, GE, and Boeing.

Job Description

  • Participate in enhancing the manufacturing process by conducting studies to identify issues, providing solutions or recommendations, and implementing corrective or preventive actions.
  • Analyze defective products or processes to determine root causes and offer input on corrective and preventive measures to prevent future failures. Implement solutions to improve yield.
  • Conduct internal and external audits on products and processes to ensure compliance with specifications. Review and approve various quality documents.
  • Collaborate with other departments, suppliers, and customers to drive improvement activities and ensure products and processes meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Lead quality and customer complaint investigations to resolve quality issues and prevent their recurrence.
  • Support the qualification of new products, processes, or equipment through data collection and analysis.
  • Assist in maintaining quality systems standards.

The Successful Applicant

  • At least 3 years of experience in quality manufacturing
  • Experience with ISO 9001
  • Experience with working with customers
  • Any IATF 16949 and/or silicone experience is a plus
