My client is seeking a Quality Engineer or Senior Quality Engineer (title will depend on experience) to join their growing Quality team. This facility is currently ISO 9001 certified and is preparing to pursue IATF 16949 certification.The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ISO standards, and experience with IATF 16949 and silicone-based products will be a strong plus.

My client is a well-established and stable organization with multiple facilities across the U.S. This particular location specializes in manufacturing silicone-based products for a diverse range of industries, including aerospace, automotive, retail, and transit.

With a dedicated team of around 130 employees, the site is entering an exciting period of growth-recently securing partnerships with major Fortune 500 companies such as Tesla, GE, and Boeing.

Job Description

  • Participate in enhancing the manufacturing process by conducting studies to identify issues, providing solutions or recommendations, and implementing corrective or preventive actions.
  • Analyze defective products or processes to determine root causes and offer input on corrective and preventive measures to prevent future failures. Implement solutions to improve yield.
  • Conduct internal and external audits on products and processes to ensure compliance with specifications. Review and approve various quality documents.
  • Collaborate with other departments, suppliers, and customers to drive improvement activities and ensure products and processes meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Lead quality and customer complaint investigations to resolve quality issues and prevent their recurrence.
  • Support the qualification of new products, processes, or equipment through data collection and analysis.
  • Assist in maintaining quality systems standards.

The Successful Applicant

  • At least 3 years of experience in quality manufacturing
  • Experience with ISO 9001
  • Experience with working with customers
  • Any IATF 16949 and/or silicone experience is a plus
