About Our Client

Our client is an IPP that focus on utility scale solar, storage and wind projects. They cover projects nationwide throughout WECC, CAISO, SPP, MISO, ERCOT, PJM, NYISO and ISO-New England. Their company is made up of around 450 employees and employees can work on an 100% remote basis.

Job Description

Seeking a Senior Site Manager to be responsible for the following:

  • Ensure all activities at sites are executed in accordance with defined standards including proactive measures. Establish effective working relationships with external customers, regional leadership, site resources, New Site Startup, and partners internally as well as externally
  • Work closely with regional Director and leadership to identify candidates for site intervention and conduct necessary due diligence to ensure improvement plans address areas of greatest need.
  • Manage schedule of activities and measure the improvement of sites in the Franchise Program, deploying resources as necessary.
  • Initiate Plan of the Day (POD) activities with Site Managers and key personnel to establish and build good daily operating habits and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Report weekly on overall site performance and recovery progress to external customers and regional leadership, as measured by milestone completion and performance metrics.
  • Mentor and develop Site Managers; support Site Managers in all employee development matters (i.e. hiring, employee relations, CPDs, performance management, performance appraisals, etc.)
  • Assist in development and sustainment of a safe, high performing site culture.
  • Lead / participate in daily down turbine calls with regional leaders.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum of eight (8) years of Site Management experience for renewable energy projects across solar, storage and wind.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Environmental Science or related field
  • Impressive track record and experience in development of renewable energy projects
  • Previous applicable experience working in a commercial negotiation environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, multi-task, make decisions, prioritize, and meet assigned deadlines in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills - able to work and communicate effectively with a cross-functional internal team, vendors, consultants, various project stakeholders, authorities having legal control, utilities, state agencies etc.
  • Regular attendance, in accordance with company's attendance policy and supervisory assignment, is an essential job duty requirement for this position.
