Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Minimum 8-10 years' experience in Electronic Contract Manufacturing or similar industry with indepth knowledge and experience programming and operating: solder paste printers and inspection, Fuji surface mount equipment, reflow oven, vapor phase, AOI, 5DX, wash, press fit, selective and wave solder, depanel and laser routers.
  • Acquire basic working knowledge of company services to assist staff with various functions.
  • Will need knowledge of all SMT equipment with experience programming printers, SPI, pick and place, reflow oven and AOI.
  • Experience programming the above equipment.
  • Experience creating and debugging oven reflow profiles, including vapor phase. Understanding the temperatures in both Fahrenheit & Celsius.
  • Technical understanding of the functions of machinery both mechanically, electrically and software.
  • Troubleshooting capabilities.
  • In-depth technical understanding of the engineering functions of electronic manufacturing services industry's machinery mechanically, electrically and associated software.
  • Class 1 - 3 IPC and J-STD certifications as applicable.
  • Experience writing pre and post build DFM reports; defect review/root cause analysis with troubleshooting capabilities. Work directly with customer's engineering group to improve designs and enhance processes
  • Defect review/root cause analysis with resolution.
  • Selective and Wave solder experience which includes programming/technical support and fixturing.
  • Ability to interpret 2D x-ray images as well as 5DX x-ray images. (programming is a plus).
  • Knowledge of label creation programming and understanding of bar-codes.
  • Must be organized and maintain professionalism at all times.
  • Ability to work with other Engineers / and all floor Personal.
  • Experience with Stencil Design using Gerbers, CAD, ScanCad, Valor and any other design and fixture tools.
  • Experience with Rework processes. Hot Air, BGA repair, Wash/PCA cleaning and routine solder iron rework.
  • AutoCAD or Solid works experience/knowledge; able to interpret assembly and PCB drawings and the requirements within.
  • Ability to manage Engineers / and applicable manufacturing Personal.
  • Able to interpret assembly and fab drawings and the requirement within.
  • Able to work directly with customer's engineering group to improve designs and enhance processes.
  • Communicates and listens effectively in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Cooperates with supervisors, co-workers and works as a team.
  • Organized, adaptable, professional and able to follow instructions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office Tools, ie, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Associates and/or B.A., B.S., Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
  • Prior on-the-job experience of at least 5 plus years in same or similar industry.
  • Demonstrated positive Customer Service demeanor.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong technical background with the understanding of circuit card and box build assemblies.
