Description
Job responsibilities include:
- Keeping records of account entries by compiling and analyzing accounting activities.
Maintaining fixed asset records and control and determine depreciation terms/rates to apply to capitalized items.
Performing monthly close activities such as preparing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet and P&L accounts, and performing analytic reviews.
Playing a key role in the monthly, quarterly and year end process by completing monthly reconciliations and close tasks.
Assisting with lease accounting assessments, tracking, and entry preparation.
Supporting the external reporting process and coordinating with the external reporting team to ensure that key inputs are provided timely.
Ad Hoc \ projects, as requested.- Other tasks as assigned.
The Successful Applicant
The Successful candidate will posses the following skills/ abilities:
Bachelor's degree (Required) Accounting degree preferred
Minimum of 1 year of audit background, preferably at a Big 4 or National firm
CPA or working toward CPA is preferred
Must possess a strong knowledge of accounting principles, including GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley
Strong analytic and Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel
Attention to detail and accuracy and ability to manage time effectively
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to thrive in fast paced environment
Flexibility in approach to performing job responsibilities.
Be able to utilize technology to increase efficiency's.
Able to work well independently and as a team member in a time sensitive environment.
Ability to develop work stream/project plan, communicate plan effectively to relevant parties and drive adherence to due dates.
Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
