The role focuses on leveraging spend data, developing sourcing strategies, and identifying opportunities for cost optimization, supplier consolidation, and process improvements.Job DescriptionStrategic Sourcing:Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for indirect spend categories such as IT, marketing, professional services, facilities, and MRO.Conduct thorough market analysis to understand industry trends, supplier capabilities, and opportunities for cost reduction.Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, favorable terms, and risk mitigation.Supplier Relationship Management:Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring performance standards are met and addressing issues as they arise.Drive supplier innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.Conduct regular supplier reviews, including performance evaluations and spend analysis.Data Analysis & Reporting:Analyze spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities and trends in supplier performance.Develop reports and presentations for senior management highlighting sourcing strategies, savings achieved, and future opportunities.Utilize procurement systems and software to track purchasing activities, contracts, and supplier performance.Cost Savings & Process Improvement:Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives across indirect spend categories through supplier negotiations, consolidation, and process improvements.Work with cross-functional teams (e.g., Finance, Legal, Operations) to align sourcing strategies with overall business objectives.Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes, including the use of e-sourcing tools and systems.Compliance & Risk Management:Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, ethical standards, and legal requirements.Mitigate supplier risk through proper due diligence, risk assessments, and contingency planning.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
