Job Description

  • Lead day-to-day facility operations, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and collaboration.
  • Drive growth by optimizing internal processes such as quoting, prototyping, and product launches.
  • Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining high standards for quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage budgets, control costs, and allocate resources effectively across departments.
  • Utilize ERP and financial systems to monitor performance and report key metrics.
  • Implement Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Develop and maintain strong communication channels across teams and departments.
  • Partner with corporate functions such as HR, Finance, and IT to support operational needs.
  • Build and maintain positive employee relations, including in unionized environments.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • 7-10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, including leadership roles.
  • Proven ability to manage production planning, quality control, and cost optimization
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams including Manufacturing, Engineering, HR, Sales, Finance/Accounting, & Customer Service.
  • Strong understanding of Lean principles and ERP systems.
  • Prior experience managing full P&L responsibilities.
  • Track record driving improvements to all functions of a manufacturing operations - certifications in LEAN/Six Sigma are desired.
  • Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment is a plus.
