Job Description

The key responsibilities of the Sitework Project Manager - Commercial General Contractor

  • Develop project plans, budgets, and schedules in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Define project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
  • Assemble project teams, including Sitework Superintendents, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and support to project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor project financials, track expenses, and ensure adherence to the budget.
  • Prepare and review project cost estimates, proposals, and change orders.
  • Identify project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Proactively address issues that may impact project timelines or budgets.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure alignment with project goals and expectations.
  • Provide updates on project progress, milestones, and changes.
  • Establish and enforce quality control processes to ensure project specifications are met.
  • Conduct regular quality inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Promote and enforce safety standards and regulatory compliance on-site.
  • Ensure all necessary permits and approvals are obtained.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, meeting minutes, and correspondence.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to senior management.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Sitework Project Manager will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Building Construction Technology, or related field preferred
  • 3-7+ years of experience as a Project Manager (running work as a lead)
  • Sitework project experience required (excavation, foundations, underground utilities, eathwork, etc)
  • Strong technology skills such as bluebeam, procore, ms project, et.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate multiple projects
  • Strong computer literacy/software experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
