Job Description

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with company policies and GAAP.
  • Perform general ledger accounting, including monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analysis.
  • Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Analyze financial data and provide recommendations for improving cost efficiencies and financial performance.
  • Prepare and maintain schedules for fixed assets, inventory, and other accounting functions.
  • Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts, providing input based on financial data analysis.
  • Support in the preparation of tax filings and regulatory reports, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
  • Assist with the preparation and coordination of audits, providing auditors with required documentation and analysis.
  • Ensure accurate tracking of expenses, accruals, and financial transactions in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational and financial decisions.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls, policies, and procedures.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing or food production industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
  • Experience with month-end close and financial reporting processes.
  • CPA designation is a plus, but not required.
