Large global aerospeace manufacturer based out of Europe. Philadelphia is their North American HQ.

Job Description

  • In coordination with the Leonardo Helicopter Division cost accounting team, will take ownership and accountability of the AWPC product standard costing process for all production lines assembled at the AWPC facility.
  • Responsible for annual operating plan standard cost update and ad-hoc costing related requests
  • Assist with calculation and analysis of non-standard COGS and variance accounts for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting
  • Performs and reviews month-end general ledger reconciliations to ensure accurate monthly recognition and reporting of complex accruals and associated expenses
  • Manage the Cost Centers structure defining opportune classification and accounting treatment
  • Collect Budget and Actual operating cost in order to calculate industrial/Full/Intercompany hourly rate divided by area/function/technology as requested by the LHD controlling model

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in finance or accounting is required; MBA and/or CPA preferred
  • 8+ years of relevant finance experience with a minimum 3 years of Cost Accounting Management experience
  • Strong experience with *job costing* and/or *project costing*
  • Proven leader, change agent and self-starter with continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong costing accounting experience in a large & complex global manufacturing environment
  • Strategic thinker and problem solver with the ability to turn ideas into action while working with cross functional teams
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Working knowledge with IFRS standards
  • SAP experience is required
