Job Description

  • Play key role in the launch of new products based on customer specifications
  • Review customer prints, develop tooling & fixturing for manufacturing as necessary
  • Design manufacturing process from start to finish
  • Maintain contact with external vendors/suppliers for tooling that cannot be done in-house
  • Play role in FMEA meetings
  • Perform cycle time studies for machining processes
  • Drive continuous improvement to manufacturing process, implement LEAN toolkit into production
  • Serve as a guide/mentor for team programmers & junior engineers
  • Troubleshoot production issues as needed

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 5+ years' experience in manufacturing, high-volume production preferred
  • Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes - milling, turning, grinding
  • Proficient in 2D/3D modeling - SolidWorks or Inventor preferred
  • Experience designing tooling & fixturing for manufacturing
  • Strong working knowledge of LEAN manufacturing and track record of driving tangible improvements to production; cost savings, throughput, etc.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
