Job Description

  • Lead the estimation process for interior federal government construction projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to develop accurate cost estimates and proposals.
  • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to determine project requirements and scope.
  • Conduct site visits and assessments to gather relevant information for estimating purposes.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior estimators and other team members.
  • Review and evaluate subcontractor bids and proposals.
  • Participate in project kick-off meetings and contribute to project planning and scheduling.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and regulations related to federal government construction.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in federal construction, with a strong emphasis on interior projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully estimating and managing federal government contracts.
  • Experience providing mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
  • Strong understanding of federal procurement processes and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in relevant estimating software and tools.
