About Our Client

My client is a growing general contractor with a strong backlog of work coming into 2022 with a track record of successful projects with their clients. They are at about $140 million in annual revenue currently and are aiming to get to $200M in the next 1-2 years. They specialize in design-build work and assist their clients in all stages of the construction process. They have a strong emphasis on the industrial space, namely data center work, as well as work in the healthcare sector. They are currently participating in multiple large-scale joint ventures that will be here in the Midwest and east coast. The position they're looking for is a senior project manager to lead these projects. This role can be based either in St. Louis or on the job site itself. The ideal candidate would be able to essentially relocate for the duration of the project and work on site with trips home every 2-3 weeks.

Reporting directly into the VP, the main duties and responsibilities of the Senior Project Manager will include the following:

  • Meet with clients regularly from initial bid stage all the way through completion
  • Lead these meetings and provide project updates
  • Collaborate with the joint venture team to ensure project delivery is smooth and seamless
  • Work with the field crew to assess necessary scheduling, material, and budgetary updates
  • Review and process change orders when applicable
  • Keep organized and up to date on the project
  • Assist with training and developing new employees
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed on site
  • This role can be local or work on the job site. If you work on the job site, you can come home twice a month on the company's dime

The Successful Applicant

In return for a competitive compensation package, the successful candidate will possess the following:

  • At least 10 years of experience in a project manager capacity
  • Experience in ground up industrial and/or healthcare work
  • Experience leading projects $10M+ in scope
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Prior experience in client-facing roles
  • Organized and effective communicator
  • Willing to travel/relocate strongly preferred
