Job Description

Overview:

  • Full-time traveling position supporting Advanced Technology projects - including Data Center, Pharmaceutical, Industrial/Manufacturing, and EV/Battery/Renewables market segments.
  • Oversee the work of the Scheduling team, project staff, and consultants across multiple large-scale construction projects.
  • Prepare and maintain schedules, develop and review project baselines, and monitor overall scheduling progress.



Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and supervise project scheduling activities across one or more complex construction projects.
  • Perform all scheduling functions, including monitoring, progress tracking, and detailed reporting.
  • Develop Critical Path Method (CPM) logic-based baseline schedules for new and ongoing projects.
  • Communicate project execution plans and monitor performance vs. baseline and forecasts.
  • Identify and mitigate schedule risks early through data-driven analysis.
  • Develop project schedules through all phases - from RFP/Project Launch to Substantial Completion/Final Turnover.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (Preconstruction, Commissioning, Procurement, Construction) to build and refine detailed schedules.
  • Integrate BIM/4D modeling and logistics planning with project schedules.
  • Apply Last Planner System (LPS) methodology to improve planning and predictability.
  • Perform monthly progress updates, including narratives, look-aheads, and target comparisons.
  • Create and maintain cost- and resource-loaded schedules.
  • Conduct schedule reviews and present updates in Operations Review Meetings (ORMs) and trade coordination sessions.
  • Support Business Development and marketing efforts by preparing proposal schedules and documentation.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on scheduling tools and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and the Scheduling Playbook.
  • Act as Scheduling SME (Subject Matter Expert) to educate clients on standards and expectations.
  • Conduct site progress walks, validate field progress, and update schedules accordingly.
  • Audit project schedules for quality, health, and risk using diagnostic tools.
  • Implement advanced scheduling techniques such as weather modeling, Time Impact Analysis (TIA), and resource loading.
  • Provide historical schedule data for claims analysis and defense when needed

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Construction, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of related scheduling experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience managing large construction projects ($100M+).
  • Scheduling Certification preferred (AACE, PSP, PMI-SP).
  • Background in construction project engineering and supervisory roles.
  • Strong understanding of building systems, materials, and trade practices.
  • Ability to interpret drawings, specs, and scopes of work to develop accurate schedules.
  • Proficient in Oracle Primavera P6 and familiar with tools like Acumen Fuse and Change Inspector.
  • Experienced with CPM scheduling, risk management, and earned value concepts.
  • Skilled in schedule gap analysis, productivity tracking, and resource management.
  • Ability to develop and present schedule metrics and dashboards.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience applying Lean Construction and continuous improvement methods.
