Job Description

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Prepare and process journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes by preparing necessary documentation and reconciliations.
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including processing invoices and ensuring accurate payment tracking.
  • Help with payroll processing and related accounting activities.
  • Assist in the maintenance and tracking of fixed assets and inventory accounts.
  • Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial data analysis as needed.
  • Assist with tax compliance, ensuring timely and accurate filings for local, state, and federal requirements.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits by gathering relevant documentation and data.
  • Prepare and maintain various financial schedules, reports, and records for management review.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing industry.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive, team-oriented attitude and a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Previous experience with accounts payable/receivable or month-end close activities is a plus.
