With growing business and team oriented culture, the team is looking for a driven individual for this Staff Accountant opening.

Job Description

  • Reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure data accuracy, investigating and resolving discrepancies, particularly in cash reconciliations.
  • Assist with the timely monthly and year-end financial close, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and accruals.
  • Support the accounts payable function by: Processing and coding invoices to ensure accurate and timely payments.
  • Working closely with internal departments and external vendors to resolve payment issues or discrepancies.
  • Address accounting and financial inquiries by researching and interpreting data.
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial reports for management by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account details and trends.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as needed.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting is preferred
  • 2+ years of accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of GAAP principles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Experience with accounting software, preferably Yardi
  • Strong communication, time management, and analytical abilities
  • Must demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality at all times
