Job Description

  1. Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  2. General Ledger Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance of the general ledger by recording journal entries, reconciling accounts, and performing month-end close procedures.
  3. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process accounts payable transactions, including vendor invoices and expense reports, and reconcile vendor statements. Assist with accounts receivable functions, including billing, collections, and reconciliations.
  4. Expense Management: Monitor and review expense reports for accuracy and compliance with company policies. Assist in the preparation of expense budgets and forecasts.
  5. Audit Support: Assist with the annual financial audit process by providing supporting documentation, answering auditor inquiries, and addressing any audit findings.
  6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, including operations, legal, and investment teams, to support business initiatives and address financial-related inquiries.

The Successful Applicant

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  2. 1-3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the financial services or investment management industry.
  3. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial accounting principles.
  4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  5. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  7. CPA certification or progress towards CPA preferred.
  8. Experience with SAP software a plus
  9. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity.
