Job Description

  • Articulate domain-driven design methodology for data modeling, data engineering, event-based ELT, and resilient infrastructure to provide engineering teams with autonomy, adaptability and scale
  • Define the architecture and design for our distributed data stores, using a cloud-native environment, automated data pipelines and governance for data quality and regulatory compliance
  • Design, develop and maintain automated data pipelines
  • Forecast data utilization and identify potential bottlenecks or optimization opportunities
  • Apply test-driven development methods to data platform configuration and deployment
  • Work with Software Engineering teams to adopt standard data platform components for their systems
  • Partner with Analysts, Data Scientists and Data Program Managers to apply, implement and productionalize descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive statistical models on large datasets
  • Define data operations approach and operating methodology for versioning, testing, security, test data management, data migrations, data quality, metadata, and documentation

The Successful Applicant

  • 4+ Years experience in Data Engineering and/or Software Engineering
  • Deep Expertise in Python and Airlfow
  • Experience using SQL, R, AWS
  • Experience developing data pipelines with ELT design
  • Familiarity with relational databases and non relational data stores
  • Expertise in building capabilities with architecture, modeling, data quality and governance, storage, resilience security, and replication
