This role will oversee projects from engineering through construction and commissioning, ensuring delivery on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with utility standards and safety requirements.This is a hands-on project leadership role working closely with engineering teams, EPC contractors, and field construction crews on high-voltage substation infrastructure.Job DescriptionManage the full lifecycle of utility substation projects from engineering design through construction and commissioningLead capital projects involving new substation builds, expansions, and upgradesManage projects involving distribution and transmission voltages ranging from 15 kV to 230 kVOversee construction and upgrades for 69 kV, 115 kV, 138 kV, and 230 kV substationsCoordinate with engineering, protection & controls, civil, and field construction teams to deliver projects safely and efficientlyManage project scope, schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation plansOversee EPC contractors, vendors, and subcontractors during construction activitiesSupport installation and commissioning of power transformers, breakers, switchgear, and protection systemsEnsure compliance with utility standards, safety requirements, and regulatory guidelinesTrack project progress and provide status updates to leadership and stakeholdersTypical Project ScopeGreenfield substation buildsSubstation expansions and upgradesBreaker replacements and relay upgradesTransformer installations and replacementsSwitchyard construction and bus reconfigurationsProtection & control modernizationMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
