Job Description

  • On-Site Management: Oversee daily construction operations, ensuring compliance with project plans, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Subcontractor Coordination: Supervise and direct subcontractors to maintain schedules, manage workflows, and address any issues.
  • Safety Oversight: Enforce safety protocols, conduct regular safety inspections, and maintain a clean and secure job site.
  • Schedule and Budget: Monitor project schedules and budgets, identifying and addressing potential delays or overruns.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.
  • Client Interaction: Serve as the primary on-site representative, regularly updating clients and addressing concerns promptly.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify challenges and implement solutions to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to NYC building codes, permitting requirements, and company standards.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial construction project management, preferably in the NYC market.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
  • Proven experience managing project schedules, budgets, and teams effectively.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, or similar).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to managing challenges.
