My client is a privately-held construction firm known for delivering comprehensive building solutions and an exceptional client experience. With more than four decades of combined industry expertise driving its approach, they specialize in preconstruction, design‑build services, general contracting, and construction management for a diverse portfolio of education, commercial, and healthcare projects. With all projects local to the Greater KC Area, they are looking for a talented Superintendent to join their growing team!

Job Description

  • Manage all on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and construction teams.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients, updating them on project progress and addressing concerns.
  • Review project plans and drawings to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
  • Identify and resolve any on-site issues or delays promptly.
  • Oversee quality control and ensure all work meets established standards.
  • Prepare and submit reports on project progress to stakeholders.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Superintendent should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • 5-7+ years of progressive experience as a Superintendent
  • Experience working on education, higher education, commercial, healthcare, or municipal construction projects.
  • Experience working on $10M-$25M values of projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, market conditions, and subcontractor trades.
  • Proficiency in software and construction tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Highly organized with strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
