Job Description

The superintendent will oversee day-to-day operations on active construction sites in Washington, DC, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. Responsibilities include managing subcontractors, coordinating all trades, maintaining quality control, enforcing safety protocols, and reporting directly to the VP while serving as the lead field representative for high-profile public sector projects.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum 5+ years as a lead superintendent on commercial projects
  • Proven experience managing DGS projects in Washington, DC
  • Strong understanding of all trade scopes and construction phases
  • Track record of delivering $10-20M projects successfully
  • Proficiency with Procore and familiarity with DGS's Project Teams software
  • OSHA 30 and CPR/First Aid certifications required
  • Comfortable working on-site and attending regular office meetings
  • Able to lead field operations and coordinate closely with project managers and leadership
