Job Description

Key Responsibilities of a Superintendent | Healthcare Construction | Houston

  • Project Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations on the construction site, ensuring the project stays on schedule and within budget.
  • Team Coordination: Supervise subcontractors, field staff, and vendors to ensure work is performed safely and to quality standards.
  • Scheduling & Planning: Develop and maintain construction schedules, coordinate material deliveries, and anticipate potential delays or issues.
  • Quality Control: Enforce construction standards, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and codes.
  • Safety Management: Implement and monitor safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment and ensure OSHA compliance.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between field operations and project managers, clients, and inspectors.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve issues that arise on-site, including conflicts, delays, and unforeseen conditions.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and records of site activities, inspections, and progress.

A Successful Superintendent | Healthcare Construction | Houston

  • +8 years of relevant construction experience
  • Extensive field experience managing large-scale commercial projects from start to finish, with a strong understanding of construction methods, safety protocols, and scheduling.
  • Leadership and communication skills to effectively coordinate subcontractors, collaborate with project managers and clients, and resolve on-site challenges quickly and professionally.
  • Proficiency in construction management software, scheduling tools, and other relevant technology.
