Job Description

Oversee On-Site Construction: Manage daily operations on the construction site, ensuring all work is completed to high standards and in compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
Subcontractor Coordination: Supervise and coordinate the activities of subcontractors and construction teams to keep the project on schedule and within budget.
Quality Control: Ensure that all construction work meets the desired quality standards, conducting regular inspections and addressing any issues that arise during the build.
Scheduling and Planning: Develop and manage construction schedules, ensuring all project milestones and deadlines are met.
Budget Management: Monitor project costs and ensure work is being completed within the set budget, making adjustments where necessary.
Safety Management: Enforce health and safety regulations on the job site, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections to minimize risks.
Client and Stakeholder Communication: Regularly update the client, owners, and other stakeholders on project progress, changes, and any potential issues.
Problem-Solving: Address any challenges that arise during construction, whether they are related to materials, labor, or external factors such as weather delays.

The Successful Applicant

Experience working as a Foreman/Assistant Superintendent previously.
A deep understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes is essential. The candidate should have experience with various stages of construction, from site preparation to final walkthroughs, and be adept at quality control.
The role requires a sharp eye for detail, ensuring that every aspect of the build meets exacting standards. The candidate must also excel at troubleshooting and resolving issues quickly, whether they relate to delays, material shortages, or construction challenges.
Ideally, the candidate will have specific experience managing multifamily or Townhome residential projects, ensuring that the level of quality and finish required for upscale developments is met.
The candidate should be an effective communicator, able to collaborate with clients, developers, architects, and subcontractors. Regular progress updates and transparent communication are key to managing expectations and ensuring client satisfaction.
A strong commitment to workplace safety is essential. The successful candidate will have experience enforcing safety protocols, conducting regular inspections, and ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
