Job Description

  • Manage day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring construction activities align with project plans, specifications, and schedules.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between city officials, subcontractors, inspectors, and the general contractor to ensure compliance with municipal requirements.
  • Monitor work for quality assurance, ensuring that materials and workmanship meet the standards set by local government codes and contract documents.
  • Enforce safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, coordinate deliveries, and allocate resources to keep the project on track.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities, inspections, delays, and progress, and regularly report to city representatives and project managers.

The Successful Applicant

  • Mixed commercial construction experience preferred
  • Municipal or Education construction experience preferred
  • Technical degree level education in construction or related field (not mandatory but preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience working in the construction industry
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
