Our client is a well-established builder with a reputation for craftsmanship and integrity. They specialize in custom homes, historic renovations, and mid-sized residential projects. The role is open due to a long-tenured Superintendent retiring in the spring.

Job Description

The Superintendent will manage field operations on projects ranging from high-end custom homes to $3M historic renovations. The ideal candidate is a team player who's comfortable jumping in when needed and thrives in a well-organized, detail-oriented environment.Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily site operations and subcontractor coordination
  • Ensure quality control, safety compliance, and schedule adherence
  • Communicate effectively with clients, trades, and internal teams
  • Maintain project documentation using Excel, Word, and Dropbox
  • Occasionally assist with hands-on tasks when needed
  • Lead with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
  • Travel within 1 hour of Arlington, MA (hotel/per diem provided if >1.5 hrs)
  • Represent the company professionally on-site and with clients

The Successful Applicant

Requirements:

  • Strong Superintendent experience across residential and renovation projects
  • Background in the trades preferred
  • "Old school" mentality: team-oriented, hands-on, dependable
  • Well-organized with strong communication skills
  • Stable work history (no frequent job changes)
  • Comfortable with basic tech tools (Excel, Word, Dropbox
