Job Description

  • PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)
  • Supplier Selection, Qualification, and Development
  • Risk Mitigation and Issue Resolution
  • Surveillance, Audits, and Quality Management System



Specific duties:

  • Assist in supplier selection and obtain best value components
  • Implement Part Quality Planning for new and existing parts
  • Define quality and technical expectations for suppliers
  • Drive continuous improvement using various methodologies
  • Investigate and resolve supplier-based issues
  • Create inspection criteria and conduct Receiving Inspection
  • Conduct on-site audits and review meetings
  • Serve as technical liaison between company and suppliers
  • Review new component PPAP.

The Successful Applicant

  • BS degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 3+ years experience in high-tech, high-volume manufacturing
  • Strong leadership skills and results-driven mindset
  • Proficiency in automated mechanical inspection equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process change, with strong analytical and statistical skills
  • Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies; ASQ Certification is advantageous
  • Ability to thrive independently in fast-paced, startup environments
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
