Job Description

  • Place, monitor and expedite purchase orders to suppliers, following the demand visible in the ERP system.
  • Update and align all delivery dates in the ERP system according to order confirmation from suppliers.
  • Ensure quick answers/feedback to customers and to all other internal departments.
  • Help to solve customer problems with a solution solving attitude.
  • Build strong relationship with suppliers, mitigating potential disruptions ahead of time, negotiating and working collaboratively with counterparts.
  • Ensure that data in the ERP system is consistently updated.
  • Support the monthly sales forecast.
  • Maintain relationships with customs brokers and freight forwarders.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Supply Chain Coordinator should have:

  • Familiarity with supply chain and procurement processes in the industrial/manufacturing industry.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Bachelor of Science or relevant degree linked to Supply Chain.
  • Fluent in both oral and written English.
  • ERP system knowledge (preferably JDE or transferable software).
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Access).
  • A collaborative approach to working with internal teams and external partners.

What's on Offer

  • Hourly pay ranging from $25-$30 per hour.
  • 3 month contract starting ASAP.
  • 3 days a week on site in Troy, Michigan.
