About Our Client
Our CT based client company manufacturers highly engineered specialty products for the automotive, aerospace and medical markets internationally.
This position will be responsible for the following:
*Management of Various staff and line management position within the Inventory and planning team
*Offer guidance and assistance in Department improvements
*Employee evaluations and participate in new hire programs
*Over see Mechanical and Electrical assembly Buyers
*Supervising and motivating a team of workers
*Conduct performance Reviews
*Lead by example and motivates people so as to create a challenging, empowering, and collaborative working environment.
*Develop and manage all supplier relationships
*Successful applicants will be driven and excel as part of a highly capable, high performance team
*Manage all aspects of materials flow and to maintain control and accuracy over all goods inventories, including all transactions, procurement, planning, scheduling, cost, warehouse, receiving and shipping
*Fulfillment and customer order follow up
*Manage Stockroom & Shipping and Receiving Dept
*Management of material control including all day to day direction, interface with other departments, training, physical routing and all pertinent managerial responsibilities
The Successful Applicant
*Bachelor's degree with 7-10 years relevant experience
*Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates): APICS CPIM, PMI a plus
*Maintain and provide current understanding of industry best practices and technology trends
*Identify tools, processes and metrics to optimize supplier value
*Good technical writing, documentation, record keeping skills and good analytical problem solving ability.
*Ability to contribute in a cross functional collaborative environment.
*Financial skills including cost modeling, cost analysis, make vs. buy analysis
*Ability to leverage metrics and other tools to drive supplier performance experience
*Working knowledge and understanding of ERP/MRP systems
