Job Description

  • Responsible for supporting the execution of Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning on monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis. Overseeing preparation and monitoring of master schedules and execution on production floor, initiates the necessary steps to maintain conformity with schedules.
  • Manages inventory management initiatives in a proactive manner to develop reduction plans and inventory targets to achieve on time delivery performance and service level, while optimizing inventory investment.
  • Ability to operate both strategically and tactically based on the needs of the business
  • Responsible for ownership of key metrics and results within functional areas of responsibility
  • Responsible for all direct report goals, objectives, individual development plans and annual reviews.
  • Provides daily leadership and direction to materials, supply chain, and warehouse staff
  • Plans, coordinates, and monitors supply chain operations to meet company objectives (e.g. safety, quality, delivery, cost, NPI, inventory)
  • Responsible for Item Master Data accuracy in ERP system to support efficient scheduling and production planning.
  • Manages production planning to ensure optimal utilization of all manufacturing assets through efficient scheduling and effective communication
  • Drives continuous improvement activity throughout material handling and supply chain aspects (planning, inventory, service levels, etc.)
  • Responsible for ensuring raw material inventories are maintained within target levels to allow continuous manufacturing execution
  • Ability to understand the needs of multiple customers, develops and communicates product supply strategies that meet both customer and company objectives
  • Responsible for overseeing the customer Planning and Logistics functions including OEM Customer Service activities
  • Leads/participates in weekly customer management activities (i.e. management calls, project reviews, etc.)
  • Performs other duties as assigned

The Successful Applicant

  • 7-10 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably medical device in operations or supply chain
  • 5 years' experience in Materials Management or Supply Chain business processes and practices
  • 3 years in a role with demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Knowledge of regulated environments in medical device manufacturing and ISO13485 a plus
