About Our Client

My client is a family owned and operated company with global presence. They are fast growing and looking for a strong supply chain professional to assist in their growth and overall supply chain strategy. Given their global presence this role will require international travel several times per year.

Job Description



  • Supply Chain Strategy & Planning:
    • Develop and implement supply chain strategies that optimize operational efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Forecast demand and manage supply to ensure availability of products while minimizing excess inventory.
    • Work closely with other departments (sales, marketing, finance, etc.) to align supply chain activities with business objectives.


  • Inventory & Warehouse Management:
    • Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of goods.
    • Oversee warehouse operations, including the receipt, storage, and distribution of products.
    • Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts and regular audits.


  • Procurement & Vendor Management:
    • Negotiate contracts and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
    • Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials, packaging, and other essential goods.
    • Evaluate supplier performance and develop strategies for improvement.


  • Logistics & Distribution:
    • Oversee transportation and logistics operations to ensure on-time delivery to customers and distribution centers.
    • Develop cost-effective shipping strategies while ensuring high service levels.
    • Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers.


  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Lead and manage the supply chain team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
    • Develop and implement training programs to improve team capabilities and efficiency.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the team.


  • Technology & Process Improvement:
    • Implement and manage supply chain management software and tools (e.g., ERP systems).
    • Identify areas for process improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies to enhance operational efficiency.


  • Compliance & Risk Management:
    • Ensure that all supply chain activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
    • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks (e.g., supplier disruptions, transportation delays).


  • Performance Tracking & Reporting:
    • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor supply chain performance.
    • Generate regular reports on inventory levels, supplier performance, shipping times, and other critical metrics.
    • Present insights and recommendations to senior management.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, logistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in supply chain operations, logistics, or a related area.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency with supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets and drive cost-efficiency initiatives.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate insights.
  • Must have experience working with an EDI system
  • Ability to travel internationally 5x per year



What's on Offer

Target compensation for the Supply Chain Operations Manager is $110,000 - $145,000 base salary + Bonus.
