They manage the balance between demand forecasts and inventory, aiming to optimize supply chain processes to meet customer needs while minimizing costs.Job DescriptionDemand and Supply Forecasting:Collaborate with sales, marketing, and demand planning teams to develop accurate demand forecasts.Use historical data, market trends, and sales forecasts to anticipate future needs.Inventory Management:Ensure optimal inventory levels to meet customer demands while minimizing excess stock and reducing waste.Monitor stock levels and implement strategies to prevent shortages or overstocking.Supply Chain Coordination:Work closely with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure that the supply chain operates efficiently.Coordinate production schedules with supply plans to align raw material availability and finished goods.Supplier Relationship Management:Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.Negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance.Continuous Improvement:Identify areas for improvement in supply chain processes, such as reducing lead times or improving accuracy in demand forecasting.Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track efficiency.Risk Management:Develop contingency plans to mitigate potential disruptions in the supply chain, such as delays from suppliers or unexpected changes in demand.Collaboration and Communication:Communicate effectively with internal teams (sales, production, logistics) and external partners (suppliers, logistics providers).Provide regular updates on supply chain performance to senior management.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
