About Our Client

Our Client is a subsidiary of a successful and technology-driven aerospace, industrial, defense and electronics company that is publicly listed in the New York Stock Exchange, and has been in business for more than 60 years. Our Client's subsididary focuses on designing, engineering, manufacturing, reparing, distributing, and overhauling FAA-approved parts that exted over the entire aircraft, from engines to brakes and interiors.

Job Description

  • Developing Design Change packages through FAA approval
  • Developing sustainable product quality and inspection plans
  • Supporting manufacturing drawings for airworthy flight hardware using Solidworks/AutoCAD
  • Supporting our Quality Assurance department and vendors regarding drawing interpretation, manufacturing methods, inspection methods, etc.
  • Active involvement in the identification and implementation of Continuous Improvement activities

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering Required
  • Minimum 2 years aerospace / mechanical design experience is preferred
  • Self-driven, an ability to manage to internal and external project milestones, and ability to be flexible in handling multiple tasks
  • Must have excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Has strong technical writing skills with attention to detail is required
  • Experience using 3D CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks)
  • Experience with standard drawing convention and GD&T is required
  • Knowledge of aircraft engine components, controls & accessories, and/or aircraft interiors is preferred
  • Knowledge of basic structural, thermal, and modal analysis of mechanical components is preferred
  • Knowledge of aerospace materials and coatings is preferred
