This role offers exposure to both domestic and international tax concepts, providing opportunities for professional growth and development in NYC. The ideal candidate has state and local and operating partnership tax experience. The Tax Accountant will report directly to the Tax Supervisor and collaborate closely with senior management, including the Senior Manager of Tax and Partner Accounting, as well as other key stakeholders in finance and accounting.

Job Description

Main duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Operating Partnership Tax Returns and State Corporate Tax Returns
  • Prep Calculations, Partnership Distribution
  • Manage foreign bank reporting
  • Prepare and review monthly account analysis
  • City and State Audits + Federal and State Income
  • Assisting in Foreign Tax Filing
  • Tax Research, Planning, and Due-Diligence
  • Prepare and deliver relevant tax information to distribute to the firms partners

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of tax experience.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • CPA or EA designation is preferred.
  • Experience with partnership tax matters is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • A strong desire to grow within a dynamic tax department.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
