Job Description

The key responsibilities of the Tax Manager include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee the preparation and review of corporate federal and state income tax returns.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies and policies.
  • Support the income tax accounting for acquisitions and assist with tax portion of M&A transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize tax planning opportunities.
  • Stay up to date on changes in tax law and advise management on the tax implications of business decisions.
  • Manage tax audits and inquiries.
  • Prepare and present tax reports to senior management.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Tax Manager should have:

  • Bachelor's in Accounting or related field
  • Master's and/or CPA preferred
  • At least 5 years of corporate tax experience in house or public accounting
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to develop and implement strategic tax planning initiatives
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
