The Technical Program Manager is responsible for introduction of new products to Manufacturing Sites and the successful launch of new projects and are accountable for meeting timing and budget requirements of each new project. The Technical Program Manager is also responsible for the development and maintenance of Corporate Level processes and is expected to provide technical assistance to manufacturing Sites when required. Must be fluent in Spanish.

Job Description

  • Manage and launch new programs via the New Product Introduction (NPI) Process
  • Develop customer requirements documentation, ensure that all technical and commercial information required for a successful launch is available and current
  • Collaborate with Site and Corporate leadership to form project teams
  • Conduct financial analyses to support investment recommendations
  • Create and maintain a Program Budget. Manage program financial performance
  • Lead corporate level quoting processes, collaborating with the manufacturing sites on product costing and product performance.
  • Work with the customer to clarify any open technical questions on product configuration and/or performance requirements.
  • Develop, publish and maintain program timing and open issues tracker.
  • Hold regular project team meetings to enable clear communication.
  • Provide regular progress updates to Site Manufacturing Leadership and Executive Leadership Team.
  • Manage inter-Site, supply chain and other cross-functional activities.
  • Review PPAP submissions to ensure compliance with customer product requirements.
  • Maintain and report corporate level performance metrics for assigned area of responsibility.
  • Provide technical oversight on engineering activities in support of product design, verification and validation and process characterization.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering
  • Minimum of 15 years' total experience in Manufacturing environments
  • 6-Sigma Methodology (black-belt) preferred
  • Experience with successful launches of complex programs for major OEM's
  • Prior ownership of project technical and business performance
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing operations, including high-volume assembly, plastic injection molding and metal forming
  • Excellence in managing team dynamics
  • Spanish and English fluency
  • Willingness to travel 25-50%
