Our client is privately-held financial institution that specialize in Private Banking, Investment Management, and Investor Services.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and enhance the vendor risk policies and processes
  • Work with various stakeholders to implement global vendor on boarding process.
  • Design and implement the overall Vendor Risk Management program, including coordination with various stakeholders around the firm.
  • Optimize the Vendor Risk Management system that documents vendor due diligence including partner with Systems to enhance the vendor risk work flow.
  • Ensure that all requests for new supplier engagements are handled properly and efficiently by all participants in the process and according to policy and procedures.
  • Monitor the reviews of in-process requests to address any process delays and other issues.
  • Head the Vendor Steering Committee, which establishes the overall vendor risk management program.
  • Head the Vendor Management Committee, which advises on the nature of risks presented by proposed engagement requests and provides guidance to relationship owners on their responsibilities in the oversight and monitoring of supplier relationships.
  • Working with the Vendor Management Committee, continue to enhance, as needed, standards for the ongoing monitoring of existing relationships based on the risk ratings of the products/services, and then implement the standards with appropriate controls and oversight to ensure that all relationships are monitored in compliance with the Program requirements.
  • Collaborate with other participants in the vendor review process to seek out opportunities for improved coordination, process improvements and other operational efficiencies.
  • Produce and deliver, as necessary, training materials and user guides to communicate process requirements, roles, and responsibilities effectively to all process participants.
  • Apply industry expertise to the Program and ensure that the Firm follows best practices.
  • Prepare for and manage reviews of the Program by internal audit, external auditors, regulators, and others.

The Successful Applicant

Desired Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Required, JD a plus
  • Sufficient general business knowledge and experience to allow prompt understanding of potentially complex third-party products/services and the potential risks to the Firm.
  • 11+ years industry experience in Vendor Program Management/Risk Management
  • Experience designing and managing complex process and workflows and automated tools to support such process
