The Traveling Superintendent will lead all onsite construction activities for large light‑industrial, tilt‑wall, and cold‑storage projects throughout the Southeast. This role requires a true Lead Superintendent, someone who has taken multiple industrial projects from groundbreaking through closeout and can run job sites with independence, authority, and strong communication. The first projects are in Charlotte, followed by travel across nearby states.

Job Description

  • Lead field operations on light‑industrial, tilt‑wall, manufacturing, and cold‑storage projects ($2M-$5M).
  • Oversee site logistics, daily production, quality control, safety, and trade coordination.
  • Run subcontractor meetings, maintain daily logs, and ensure workflow aligns with the schedule.
  • Use Procore for RFIs, submittals, inspections, documentation, drawings, and daily reporting.
  • Drive project schedules, sequencing, and manpower plans.
  • Maintain clear communication with Project Managers, design teams, inspectors, and owners.
  • Ensure compliance with plans, specifications, QA/QC, and safety protocols.
  • Manage punch lists, commissioning, and turnover.
  • Travel full‑time after the first two Charlotte‑area projects.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Traveling Superintendent - Tilt-Wall & Industrial Projects should have:

  • 10+ years of construction experience, including several years as a Lead Superintendent.
  • Experience delivering light industrial, tilt‑wall, cold storage, or manufacturing projects from start to finish is required.
  • Experience running $2M-$5M industrial or commercial jobs.
  • Any bank or financial institution upfit experience is a plus.
  • Procore proficiency (required).
  • Must reside in NC, SC, GA, TN, or VA.
  • Strong leadership, communication, scheduling, and problem‑solving abilities.
