About Our Client

My client is a well-known general contractor headquartered in St. Louis who is actively seeking to fill a traveling superintendent role. Their approach to working with their clients is a full-scale design-build approach, working with them from the initial conception through closeout. They are currently averaging right around $400M in annual revenue and have grown substantially in just the last few years. Due to this growth, they are in need of more leadership in their St. Louis operation. The work that they do will be in a variety of sectors but primarily the light industrial, distribution, data centers, medical, and commercial interiors spaces. Job Description

  • Supervises day-to-day work of crew and prioritize work at hand
  • Full-time travel position for projects in the Midwest & East Coast region
  • Lead site walkthroughs and inspections
  • Ability to effectively lead a crew on schedule while monitoring quality of work at hand
  • Coordinate subcontractors and laborers based on project schedules
  • Effectively follow plans/guidelines while conducting regular safety meetings
  • Monitor and control project through managing the construction schedule and directing subcontractors and suppliers to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budget
  • Review and approve change order

The Successful Applicant

  • 5+ years of Superintendent experience
  • Manage projects at least $20M in scope
  • Proven ability to deliver construction projects on time and on budget
  • Communicate effectively with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Capable of problem solving and experience with complex detailed projects
  • Project experience in warehouses, data centers, healthcare, or large-scale commercial building preferred
  • Must be open to travel
