Job Description

  • Effectively follow-up on due diligence issues prior to discussion including schedule, permits, financing, and regulatory approvals
  • Develop/manage pre-construction schedule and processes
  • Budget-conceptual or square foot estimating
  • Reviews design documents as they progress for completeness and to identify changes
  • Establishes clear understanding of what the architect must deliver at each design phase
  • Prepares Project Manager for construction activities-ensures that the Project Manager has complete package at Hand-Off
  • Provides constructability review of design
  • Ensure effective and immediate documentation occurs when potential issues arise affecting the client's budget and schedule
  • Business Development and Client Relationship management (CRM) to include: proactively contacts clients and contacts about opportunities, seeks networking opportunities for further relationships, solicits resources (architects and engineers) about leads, contributes new leads and opportunities.

The Successful Applicant

  • Must have a minimum of 10 years experience submitting and winning large scale construction bids
  • Must have previous experience in a GC environment
  • Must have a 4 year college degree (construction management or related field is preferred)
  • Thorough understanding of commercial, residential, industrial, and institutional construction projects
  • Key knowledge of trade activities through subcontractor or self performance
  • Experience in scheduling, conceptual estimating, and pre-construction processes and procedures
