About Our Client

They will be responsible for oversight of assigned construction projects on a rapidly growing national portfolio. They will work closely with company's Investment and Asset Management teams and Company Principals to advance our core mission. They will also be responsible for all design and construction operations including overall budgeting, cost control, schedules, construction techniques, value engineering, risk management, design management, conflicts resolution, and management of third parties for the assigned projects.

Job Description

  • Provide and coordinate conceptual and pre-construction estimating for all aspects of development, as well as Contract Administration during construction and close out
  • Lead jurisdictional approval processes from acquisitions, project permitting and project close out
  • Interface and develop working relationships with various public agencies
  • Evaluate, manage, and oversee capital projects, from design through final project completion
  • Assess, hire, and contract design professionals and consultants to project results, budgets and schedules
  • Create and execute internal project schedules to manage internal and external milestones, commitments, deadlines, etc.
  • Bring best-in-class design, review, and value engineering leadership and judgment to all projects
  • Identify and communicate opportunities and challenges that impact financial performance while adhering to brand standards

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering or related discipline
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience in construction and project management, preferably with industrial and/or commercial properties
  • Consistent track record to lead and run internal and external project teams and 3rd party service providers. Experience in project estimating, budget management, and scheduling
  • Self-motivated and ability to multi-task, prioritize and resolve sophisticated issues
  • Software Proficiencies - Intermediate to advanced experience in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, CAD and PowerPoint. Additionally, familiarity with punch list software and construction management software (e.g.: Procore, Prolog) is preferred
