Their close-knit team consists of tenured renewable energy professionals that come from major competitors in the industry, offering streamlined communication and a collaborative culture.Job DescriptionThe VP of Development - East will be responsible for:Effectively and strategically lead a team of 6 direct reports in their mission to drive projects from inception to NTP.Prepare and present development updates, risks, and project progress.Guide internal team members to develop best practices in project development and execution.Support strategic planning around portfolio growth, prioritization of development assets, and market analysis.Oversee all permitting, interconnection, environmental, and engineering workstreams, ensuring project milestones are met.Build and maintain effective relationships with utility partners, permitting authorities, and key stakeholders.Drive project readiness by ensuring critical path items are proactively identified and resolved.Coordinate and manage cross-functional efforts across legal, finance, permitting, engineering, and external consultants.Serve as the internal owner of project timelines, budgets, and risk management through NTP.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
