My client is an innovative fintech crypto currency firm experiencing high growth. Office based in NYC

Job Description

  1. Develop a deep understanding of the client's various business lines (e.g. trading, asset management, staking, etc.)
  2. Own/develop reporting frameworks to maintain comprehensive coverage of business line specific activity and nuanced deal structures
  3. Manage various daily, weekly and quarterly PnL reporting streams
  4. Update and maintain reconciliations of FP&A models vs. financials, and other data sources
  5. Collaborate with business units and FP&A team members to model new business requirements, and represent FP&A in the "new business committee"
  6. Lead initiatives to transition Excel-based models into scalable, automated reporting solutions
  7. Provide data-driven ad hoc analysis to support executive and business line specific reporting

The Successful Applicant

5+ years of experience in FP&A/strategic finance, trading product control, consulting, or a related analytical role

Deep understanding of PnL modeling frameworks across various asset classes (FX, futures, options, etc.)

Experience building complex financial models and extracting KPIs to support CFO/Board Meeting prep

Strong analytical skills and experience working with large, convoluted datasets in Excel

Proficient in income statement and balance sheet analysis

Intellectually curious self-starter, comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced environment

Highly analytical and detail-oriented, with a structured approach to solving complex problem

Team player with a can-do attitude and excellent communication skillsAn understanding of VBA, PowerQuery, PowerBI, Python, or SQL

Knowledge of cryptocurrency

  • Experience working at a high growth startup / tech company a plus
