About Our Client
They are a private university that is backed by a PE firm, and is a leading provider of medical education around the world.
As the Vice President of Information Systems and Strategy, you would design and lead the implementation of new operating models that integrate business goals, processes, and technology. Also, you would develop comprehensive communications, change management, and training plans. You would need to communicate effectively with key business owners to determine appropriate systems strategy and identify business requirements. Perform ROI analysis and develop business cases for recommended systems enhancements, as well as project manage complex IT initiatives across all areas of the business.Additionally, you would be responsible for leading testing efforts for all major system enhancements, while attracting, developing, and retaining a high quality project management and testing team. you would need to select, negotiate, and manage multi-million dollar vendor relationships, while also designing, writing, and ensuring compliance with all IT policies.
Additionally, you would support internal and external audits, while managing multi-million dollar capital and expense budgets. You would be in charge of leading selection processes for hardware and software, negotiating favorable terms, and providing status tracking across all major IT initiatives. You would provide project management expertise and support to non-IT projects as needed, supervise and mentor the Information Technology Team. You need the ability to provide technical guidance and hands-on support of the Organization's applications and systems and contribute to the institution's technology-based security compliance efforts.Finally, you would evaluate and recommend the use (or removal) of certain technologies based on situations specific to Organization's business and operations, maintain and nurture relationships at all levels of the organization from campus staff to senior leaders and perform other duties as assigned.
